My fall wardrobe essentials

Hello and welcome to another blog post from justasklilly. I am very sorry that I haven’t posted in a while and thank you for your patience, but here I am to talk about my fall wardrobe must haves. This week with a little twist where I am going to give you multiple pieces in different price ranges for you to find the perfect one. With no further ado let’s get into it. Disclaimer none of the pictures below are mine, but from the original website of the items that are linked throughout the article.

Number one neutral knit sweaters

Neutral knit sweaters are so cozy and warm as well as elegant. I love adding them to a simple outfit to add some texture especially cable knit sweaters, but there is one rule no scratchy sweater! I think both of these options full fill this criteria. The Ralph Lauren sweater is a classic and has a elegant v neck line. The H&M cardigan may be cheaper, but still does an excellent job. It is cozy and works with a lot of outfits. One of my favourite hacks with bulky cardigans is to put the last button through the second to last button hole to crop it.

Number two pleated skirts

I love pleated skirts especially because of their shape. They can add a nice structure to many outfits and unlike tighter skirts you can actually move in them which is a major plus for me. Now the two options I picked out don’t have a huge price difference and are on the very affordable side. However they do have a difference in style, the one is a little edgier from cider with a double belt and the other is simple skirt with a unique twist where the skirt is not all pleats but has a more straight front side from H&M

Number three Coats

Coats come in so many shapes and sizes. No matter if it’s a simple beige trench coat or a thick black wool Coat. I think they are so stylish and pretty as well as warm and comfortable. Though one thing that I struggle with is finding a coat that won’t swallow me or is too long on me which i think the Marc’s and Spencer’s one does very well. The Ralph Lauren coat is absolutely gorgeous and beautifully tailored. Though I understand that they might be a bit warm for fall they are also great winter essentials.

Tailored shirts

I really like tailored shirts because they fit well under crewnecks but they are also great on their own. I think silky shirts look great because they add some more texture to an outfit which we love. The cider one has that silky aspect and I really enjoy that. The other one from the polo club is a great high quality option that keeps a classical fit.

Now finally before I finish this week’s article I am going to give you my last little tips. Firstly you can find most of these items at your local thrift store and secondly if you ever have trouble styling any of these pieces I advise you to look through Pinterest and find style inspiration or even find one person you like the style of and look at how they would style it. Third and final I have created a Pinterest board for you guys to look through and find further inspiration from other influencers. Have a nice week and stay tuned!
